JEF Steiermark recently hosted a Greek Evening at its office in Graz, bringing together members for an exploration of Greece’s political landscape, cultural richness, and culinary traditions. We were delighted to welcome Dimitris, International Officer of JEF Greece, as our guest for the evening. His presence offered participants a unique opportunity to gain first-hand perspectives on current developments in Greece and its role within the European Union.

The core of the evening was a moderated discussion focusing on key political topics, including the Eurozone crisis and its long-term implications, as well as Greece’s political evolution in the years since. Participants engaged in the discussion, raising thoughtful questions and exchanging views on the challenges and opportunities facing Greece today. The dialogue highlighted not only national developments but also broader European dynamics, emphasizing the importance of cross-border understanding within the JEF network. Following the discussion, the formal program transitioned into a social gathering. Guests enjoyed a selection of Greek delicacies, including finger food and traditional Greek wine, which provided the perfect setting to continue conversations in a more informal atmosphere. The culinary experience added an authentic touch to the evening and deepened the cultural exchange.
