Call for Participants: Erasmus+ Youth Exchange 2025
15th – 22nd July 2025

Don’t stop me now – It’s time to pop the bubble.

What happens when you step outside of your usual bubble?
How do social media, your friend groups, and your cultural background shape your perspectives?
How can we engage in constructive and respectful dialogue, even when we disagree?

This Erasmus+ Youth Exchange is your chance to step out of your daily routines, question your perspectives, and challenge the bubbles that shape your world. Through a digital detox, engaging discussions, and non-formal learning methods, we will explore the effects of social media, polarization, and personal biases. Together, we will reflect on our own bubbles, exchange perspectives, and develop the skills needed for respectful communication and a culture of dialogue.

… to break out of your social, cultural, and digital bubbles?
… to disconnect from technology for 5 days?
… to engage in open discussions about controversial issues?
… to improve your communication skills and gain a better understanding of different perspectives?
… to participate in a cultural exchange and experience new customs and languages?

APPLY HERE IF YOU …

… live in Austria, Slovenia, Croatia, Denmark, Spain or Malta
… are between 16 and 25 years old
… have a basic level of English to participate in the programme

The Erasmus+ European Youth Exchange takes place at the EUROPABURG in Neumarkt in der Steiermark, Austria, from 15th to 22nd July 2025. Together, we will participate in team-building activities, workshops, and discussions focused on breaking out of our bubbles and fostering respectful dialogue. The programme includes a supported reflection process to enhance learning and personal growth.

We will spend the week in a medieval castle, accommodated in shared dormitories with shared bathrooms. All costs for meals and accommodation during the Erasmus+ Youth Exchange are covered. Travel costs are going to be reimbursed up to a maximum amount, depending on the distance between your home town and Neumarkt in der Steiermark and the use of “green travel” *. The selection of participants is based on individual agreements with the partner organizations. JEF Steiermark reserves the right to refuse applications for any reason.

* „Green Travel“ offers a financial incentive for participants who travel sustainably and use means of transport with low-emission, such as bus, train, or carpooling for the majority of the outward and return journey. More information is provided in the info-pack.
